Updates from Elder Bowles: July 2018

Dear family, July 30th, 2018

So this week we had a pretty great and successful week! So we started off our week with cave of the winds and that was really cool but I miss the uncommercialized lava tubes in Oregon but we got a cool free tour and then we played some volleyball.

Tuesday we had an investigator Appointment at the family history center which was cool. We've been taking this family history class and I love it! I look forward to being able to do it after my mission! On Wednesday we went out with an RM(Return Missionary) and found 2 new investigators! One of them he's a youth seems pretty interested and the other she's in the YSA Ward (Young Single Adult) and her family might be interested too she took 2 book of Mormons one for her and one for her family so that was good. We've been praying to find people. Friday we didn't have anyone singed up for dinner but some one filled last minute on face book and we had dinner with this family and taught the restoration after and found out her daughter wasn't a member and she went to girls camp and was interested so we invited her to read and pray and she wants to take the lessons! It was truly divine design! And she comes to church most weeks so I'm excited also our gator that we've been teaching she said she wants to be baptized and she's praying about a date! So I'm excited for that. Training is going really well I love elder moon he's such a good friend and we get along so well he reminds me of some of my friends back home lol.

I just thank the lord everyday for my mission and this wonderful opportunity I have to serve the lord and his children and all the happiness and growth I've gained from it! Also we got to go to a youth celebration this Saturday and boy was that something so neat I literally almost cried it was so comforting to see all the strong wonderful youth and all their talents and standards and faith and how they can come together to strengthen one another and it was just so beautiful to see the strong generation Cuz normally when you look at the youth of the generation in a whole you seem to worry but it was so cool to see the Lord's children and the power they have to change lives!

Today's plans are to go on a hike to north field reservoir and hammock and then to play nine square in the air then go play disc golf so should be a fun day! I'm doing really well and enjoying life! I look forward to hearing from you all I hope your week was as good as mine love and miss you all dearly!
