Fresh Week

May 28th, 2018

Good morning my family,

So this week we had transfers and like I said on Monday I'm in pine creek its a really nice place our apartment is really nice. I miss Cañon City and all the people there but I've gotten to see the Stroups, Wollmans, Boltons and, Clark Blatter(AKA Elder Blatter) also got to see the Taylors today they took me and my comp out to lunch at a cool burger place called crave burgers.

 The ward here is super young! Compared to retirement city lol but things have been good minus only 2 dinners this week so I haven't met like anyone really but I think it's Caz the summer and holiday.
My comp is really cool we get along really well and have some common ground and interests and he was super nice as to let me drive in starting to learn the area already.

Elder Peel

 On Wednesday I'll be getting a base pass for the air force academy base so we can teach out there we've had a few good appointments this week. This week we went to institute with our recent convert and I loved it so much I can't wait to go to institute when I get home! It's been a pretty eventful and fun week and I'm enjoying my new area and all the change. It was so good to see Blatter this week he's so awesome I just love that man he's truly a brother to me. 

We found 3 new gators this we and we have one we are working with and a family that seems pretty promising so I'm seeing good things and we are also working with a few members and a part member family we are also working with and I think he's getting close to baptism we helped them move this week. But elder peel and I are having a good time working hard and having fun just really been enjoying this last week. We have had some pretty funny stories from tracking(knocking on doors) almost everyday one day we knocked on this guy's door and he wanted us to come back he seemed super nice but when we went back on Friday he was nice let's us in we taught him the restoration then he turned whack lol he started telling us we didn't know God or Jesus Christ and then he prayed over us and was asking for a sign and telling God to show us the truth and to save us lol and he said he prays for us everyday well be saved. So that was funny. But I'm doing great! things are going well and I'm excited for new things ahead. But y'all will be seeing me on face book hopefully this week I've been having a problem with my account but when I'm on there I have to keep my purpose as a missionary so it's not just to chat but if y'all have any gospel questions or things missionary related I can definitely respond.

Biking, Family, Baptism, and Moves

Good morning my family! So this week has been probably the most crazy week I have had on my mission I got to Skype home to start last week off which was just so awesome to get to see my family and I just want to give a special shout out to all the wonderful women in my life and the wonderful example they have set for me all the love and support they have given me and for being such wonderful children of God. After all if it weren't for my lovely mother no one would have Xander in their lives so special shout out to Shannon! :)

lol but anyway so my week was really good we started this week off with going on an exchange on Monday night and I went with elder powell in his ward and we had a really good exchange. I always love exchanges because you always learn something new and you can ask my mom I love to stay the night with friends lol.
So we set a goal this week to find 2 new investigators and we found a total of 4!! So awesome. It's so cool to see the fruits of my labors after 7.5 months and the biggest fruit of my labor really showed its self on Friday were our investigator chose to be baptized!!! And she asked me to Baptize her which was scary but it was cool it was my first time baptizing some one I'll post pics in my drive. But it was really sad because the next day we helped them pack up and move to Utah but it was really cool because I taught her and her husband from start to finish and it was just so cool to watch the gospel change them and to see how much more happiness they have found in their lives!
So then on Saturday was the day I always dread which is the day of transfer news and I found out that I am getting transferred 😭😭😭 I've been on a bike for 14months and out of 10 transfers I've only been affected by one but I'm now being moved and to a car area in northern springs called pine creek I'll be covering one of the military bases and my new comps name will be Elder Peel I'll be greenie breaking him (first comp out of training) he's 21 and from Cali I think. And I guess we have a really nice apartment which will be nice. I'm staying district leader but I'm in a district with 7 other elders and a senior couple so 10 people in a district. But all in all I'm pretty sad to be leaving my home and family I've made in 7.5months and they are all true family to me I'm so grateful for all the relationships I've made on my mission. But I think I'm ready for some changes and to see what else God has in store for me. I know I've been called to this place at this time for a reason and as my time comes to an end here I've been able to see that and I know I can use my gifts talents and abilities in another area to continue to bless others! So this week has been pretty crazy, awesome, jam packed, action filled, sad and exciting. I'm just not looking forward to packing everything I've collected in 7.5 months into 2 suit cases lol.

I love and miss ya'll and I just want you all to remember the love that heavenly father and Jesus Christ have for each and everyone of you! That they want nothing except for you to be happy and to return to live with them. But I love you guys hope your week is going well and may God be with you till we meet again.

TRIO!

Good morning! 

I miss you all very much! I hope you guys are doing well things have constantly been getting well for me here in Colorado. So I've been in 2 trios and I loved them and I decided to tell President last transfer in interviews that I love them and if he was ever wondering where to put one I'd be down with it. lol So this week at zone conference he comes up to me at lunch and told me that I will be put in a trio next Tuesday the 27th! I'm so excited! his name is Elder Smith he's from Utah and he served in Africa for a few months then got hurt and went home on medical and got reassigned to our mission so im very excited! I'm hoping president keeps me here at least one more transfer in the trio caz being in one for 2 weeks would be sad lol. But the Lord has a plan and I've enjoyed the plan he has had so far! Well this week i went to springs 3 times for interviews, zone conference,  and a baptism. so I had a crazy week in springs I think in the last 2 weeks from going to the Denver Temple twice and springs 3 times is the most time I've spent in a car my whole mission now that I've been biking for a year lol. 

It's been super cool our investigator family has been progressing so much they've been coming to church almost through all the lessons she has been reading the book of Mormon they gave up alcohol and tea and coffee. It's so wonderful to see the changes people make in their lives because of this wonderful gospel, but not just physical changes but their spiritual changes to and to see how this gospel brings families so much closer it truly is of God and his plan for us! I love you all so much I'm missing you and hope to hear from you hope you guys have a Happy Easter I'm getting excited for general conference coming up we are getting 2 new apostles! Any ways I love you all hope your having a wonderful week!
